• WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3, 2011
CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
I. Call to Order/ Approval of Agenda:
The meeting was called to order at 7:48 p.m. by Mayor Beaudet. Present:
Councilmembers Abrahamson, McComber, Runk, and Swenson. Staff present:
City Administrator Johnson.
Mayor Beaudet added "Gopher to Badger Half Marathon — 2011" to the Agenda.
Councilmember McComber, seconded by Councilmember Swenson, moved to
approve the Agenda as amended. Carried 5 -0.
II. City Hall Facility:
Mayor Beaudet reported that a worksession was held prior to that meeting and the
council discussed outstanding issues with the City Hall facility.
Councilmember Abrahamson, seconded by Councilmember Runk, moved to
direct staff to indicate that the City was rejecting the heat pumps. Carried 5 -0.
• III. Washington County v. City of Oak Park Heights:
Mayor Beaudet reported that the City Council held a closed worksession prior to
that meeting pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13.d to discuss Washington County v.
City of Oak Park Heights. He reported that discussion took place and no action
was taken in the closed session.
Mayor Beaudet, seconded by Councilmember Runk, moved to approve the legal
advisor to move forward and appeal the Court of Appeals decision to the Supreme
Court. Carried 5 -0. •
IV. Gopher to Badger Half Marathon - 2011:
Mayor Beaudet, seconded by Councilmember Abrahamson, moved to ap . ove the
agreement. Carried 5 -0.
V. Adjourn:
