The City of Oak Park Heights has expressed an interest in the acquisition of the property at 5569 19 c Q " ` s > 5601 14575
Ozark Ave. for the purposes of installing a new driveway / entranceway into Valley View Park. :ET NORTH

It is possible that by installing this new access way to Valley View Park the area could become 4 ` v $, v v o 5569
less isolated from the neighborhood and may reduce generalized traffic. Part of this concept plan 5553
is to also close the vehicular access way from Osgood Ave. potentially leaving that area only § 4. irr El 5537
accessible for pedestrian, bicycle traffic and an emergency access of city vehicles. In addition, the - -
current roadway which is deteriorating and quite lengthy would cost approximately $200,000 to 55TH STREET NORTH
reconstruct and could possibly be delayed a considerable length of time given this proposal. — I M 1 „ I ., :P7
The plan to date is in its very early stages and questions and concerns will exist. It is vital that additional public input from the surrounding
neighborhood be received to better define what this project could include, if at all.
The City will be hosting two informational meetings:
1. Saturday, October 15 2011 — 1 pm @ Valley View Park Pavilion
2. Monday, October 17 2011 — 6 pm @ Valley View Park Pavilion
Please see the attached conceptual drawing, but will likely change to some extent if this project should proceed.
Lastly, contrary to a recent article in the Pioneer Press, the City to date has not acquired this property, rather has only secured an option to
purchase at this time.
Please call if you have questions in the interim — 651- 439 -4439
Thank You
