Attached is a copy of the 1988 U.B.C. code section addressing egress for a bedroom window. The home at 5511 Oakgreen Place N. was constructed at the time the 1988 U.B.C. Code was adopted by the State and City of Oak Park Heights. On September 13, 2011, upon your request I conducted a site inspection to verify that the window was in compliance to the code. I contacted Mr. Herman Hauglid, building code representative with Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to see if at that time the state may have amended this section of the code. This letter is to inform you that there were no amendments to this section and that the window is in compliance with all the egress requirements the "88" UBC section 1204 Exits and Emergency Escapes. Should you have any further questions please contact me.
