Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 Re: Special Event Permit — City Ordinance Requirements Dear Mr. Slate & /or Store Manager, Attached please find the City of Oak Park Heights Special Event Permit application an ordinance language. City Ordinance 401.15.G.8 requires that special event permits be obtained for placing exterior temporary signage (ie: banners) or other advertisement devices (ie: tent sale, display) prior to placing such special event item. The ordinance permits up to 50 special event days per calendar year. There is no fee for the permit. I have communicated with your retail business on occasion relative the "live bait" banner that - is hanging on the exterior of the building, facing Hwy. 5 and have asked that it be removed or a special event permit obtained. To date the banner has not been removed, nor has an application for special event permit been received for its placement Please remove the "live bait" banner along with any other exterior banner and /or display items or remit your special event permit for their placement prior to Monday, September 12, 2011.
