Effective immediately, ALL off duty work shall be approved by myself. At this time, I shall give blanket approval to any & all needs at the Stillwater Area High School. Any other requests will have to be submitted for review & approval by myself. Compensation will be paid by the City on an overtime basis. This also applies to All requests for officers. Officers desiring to work will submit an overtime slip for the hours worked just as they do for overtime shifts offered by the dept. When submitting your overtime slip be sure to put the name of the entity that the work was provided for. Reimbursement will then be made with any regular overtime compensation on the first pay day of the following month that the work was done. The City shall then invoice the entity for whom the work was done and such invoice shall include the pay at the individual officers overtime rate, PERA costs, FICA costs, and a surcharge of 10% of that total to cover city costs for having to process and submit the invoices. Thus, officers working "extra duties" will be considered under the direction & employ of the City of Oak Park Heights Police Dept. 9/218/2005
