Oakgreen Village North
Planner Richards stated that density calculation was done; conservatively is
within Ordinance requirements for townhomes and apartments.
Discussed lighting; Planning Commission preferred nicer lights than City
• standard. Planner Richards added that decorative lighting would be more
consistent with the area.
Traffic: Engineer Postler stated acceptance of trip generation figures.
Discussed turn lanes, speed on 58 street and distance between Nutmeg and
Oakgreen.
Mayor Beaudet stated the whole site should be graded and reseeded right
away and the dead trees should be removed from the pond.
Discussion was held concerning concrete sidewalks versus asphalt trails in
certain locations.
Discussed posting "no parking" toallow access for emergency vehicles on
Nutmeg and Novak through provision in the Development Agreement so the
developer pays for the signs.
Discussed setbacks and specific units to be eliminated or changed to allow for
more space.
Concern was expressed over trees presently on the site. Attorney Vierling
• stated that the Arborist favors replacing the existing trees with higher quality
trees.
II. Boutwells Landing Water System
•
Public Works Director Johnso distributed a memo regarding leaks. Johnson
reviewed causes of leaks and recommended chlorination of the City water
system.
III. Street Reconstruction Overlay Projects
City Administrator Johnson asked for Council input on use of funds budgeted
for street projects. Consensus to place on the Consent Agenda so the project
can go out for bid and include potholes and curbs in the project. Mayor
Beaudet stated that the 1995 plan is the plan for the City and there will be no
way to pay for these projects until levy limits are lifted.
IV. Highway 36 TAG Update
Councilmember McComber stated that no decisions have been made. TAG is
meeting with the Business Owners Group to address concerns.
V. 2004 — 2005 Fire Protection Agreement with Bayport
• City Administrator Johnson distributed the current agreement that expires at
the end of February. Medical runs were discussed; question raised whether or
not the fire department is needed at all medical calls. Consensus that the
service and equipment are very good. Put approval on the next Consent
Agenda.
