Re: Permit No. 0300150
Project: Deck Construction
Project Location: 14255 56 St. N.
Contractor: Homeowner — Jeff Peterson
Dear Mr. Peterson
I am writing you regarding the above - referenced project for deck addition. At the time of footing
and framing inspections, I mentioned that the existing deck should be replaced due to rot
condition making it structurally unsound. At that time, you and I discussed this matter, wherein I
informed you that you needed to apply for a permit and provided construction plans for the new
deck.
To date, I have not received application or complete set of construction plans for the
reconstruction of existing deck construction. By this letter, I am advising you that the City of Oak
Park Heights finds the reconstructed deck structure at your home to be non - conforming to the
construction code and local ordinance requirements as adopted by the City. The plans submitted
October 21, 2003 are in complete and being returned to you with a copy of the deck handout.
Permit 0300150 has been closed and filed to the property folder for this address with a copy of
this letter. You will need to provide this office with construction plans and an application for
permit, as originally requested. Until compliance is met, deck is not to be used. Additionally,
inspections required for deck construction must be made and satisfactorily approved by this
office.
If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call.
Sincerely, . ..
7Ze,/ Butler
