Re: Home Remodeling @ 14798 N 56th St., Oak Park Heights, MN
Dear Mr. Harvieux,
This letter to inform you that a building permit is required for finishing off a basement
and / or the installation of an egress window. It was brought to my attention that there
was the possibility of a home improvement project being done at the above referenced
address.
On Monday, June 4, 2007, I did a site investigation and observed that a new egress
window was installed on the east wall of the basement. The Minnesota State Building
Code, which the City of Oak Park Heights, has adopted requires a building permit be
issued for remodeling project, including the installation of an egress window. To this
date, this department has not received an application for permit for any work at this
residence.
For your convenience, I am enclosing a permit application for your use. Kindly complete
the application for work that has been and any other work commencing for the residence,
and return it to the City of Oak Park Heights, Attn: Julie Hultman, within ten (10)
working days from the date on this letter.
Please note that if you are finishing off the basement, a scale plan of the floor design is
required with the permit application. Additionally, if you are not occupying the home
and it is being rented for income, a licensed contractor is required to perform any
alterations to the home.
Should you have any questions please contact me at 651 -275- 9590..
Respectfully,
Jim Butler
