Ref: Outside storage / inoperable vehicle
Dear Ms. Winegar:
This last. month I issued a permit to a contractor for the installation of a new roof on your home. During
my final inspection for this project I observed several violations to the City's Zoning Ordinance in your
yard and driveway. The items in violation and the respective code sections are:
1) Outside storage of many cardboard boxes, plastic storage containers, exercise equipment,
and other miscellaneous items throughout your yard, beneath your deck in the rear, and in
the entryway to your front door: Section 401.15.B.14 states that all materials and
equipment shall be stored within a building or fully screened so as not to be visible from
adjoining properties and the public right -of -way.
2) There is a white Dodge Neon in your driveway with deflated tires, full of boxes and other
miscellaneous items, such as a table lamp, and has not been licensed since July 2004.
Section 1301.02 states that any vehicle parked on private property unless the vehicle is
properly licensed and in operable condition.
I ask that all the miscellaneous items throughout your yard be properly stored within your garage or
removed no later than October 15, 2009. In addition, the vehicle must be properly licensed and must be
in running condition or it is to be removed from the premises.
Please note that the purpose of the City's Zoning Ordinance is to provide standards to enhance the
health, safety, and general welfare of the community residents and to prevent a negative impact on the
values of abutting properties.
If you have any questions, please call me at 651 -275 -9590 or e-mail me at
jbutler @cityofoakparkheights.com. I anticipate your full cooperation in correcting the violations stated
above no later than October 15, 2009. Thank you.
