The applicant is request that the preliminary plat only be considered and approved at the City Council meeting of 11/27/01 so that they can begin their process at Washington County. The final plat and PUD approvals are scheduled for your meeting of 12/11/01, as is the public hearing to vacate all easements within the development. As plans were received by this office today, a resolution in support of the preliminary plat approval is not enclosed for your review with this packet, but will be submitted at your meeting of 11/27/01. Please refer to the enclosed memo from the City Planner and the plans for the preliminary plat. Please contact me with any questions you may have. A copy of the resolution from the Planning Commission is attached. The Planning Commission recommended that the proposed street within the development be constructed as a public roadway and that 60 feet of right -of -way be dedicated to the City. The developers are agreeable to this recommendation. The City Council should hold on any approvals of the development. It is recommended that the City Council set a public hearing at their November 13, 2001 meeting for vacation of the existing easements in Kern Center and Kern Center 2nd Addition for the December 11, 2001 meeting. The existing easements would be vacated and replaced with the drainage and utility easements shown on the new plat labeled as Oak Park Station.
