Box 2010 Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 Re: Leasing Sign at Greenbrier Apartments 14843 -47 60th St. N., Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 Dear Mr. Skogen: Shortly after our conversation earlier this month regarding the wall "For Lease" banner at Greenbrier Apartments, the banner was removed as was the "For Lease" sign that hung from the Greenbrier Apartments Identification Sign. In their place, you elected to place a weighted "For Lease" sign upon the roof of 14843 60th St. City Ordinance 401.15.G.7 discusses signs that are prohibited in any zoning district within the City of Oak Park Heights. Roof signs are listed as item g. of this section. We continue to go back and forth over leasing signs at this site. As noted during the phone conversation shared by you, Mr. Greiling, City Administrator Johnson and myself, the City is more than willing to sit down and discuss any alternative sign arrangements Mr. Greiling feels he needs at the Greenbrier development. However, until that has been done and something agreed upon, we are bound by the City Ordinance regulations for signage allowances at the site. By this letter, you are being directed to remove the roof sign no later than Thursday, April 3, 2008. You may return the "For Lease" sign to the Greenbrier Apartments Identification Sign as it was earlier placed. Please be reminded that violation of a City Ordinance is a misdemeanor offence. Continued violation will leave no alternative but for the City to seek compliance by appropriate legal remedy. If you have any questions, please contact me immediately. I appreciate your anticipated cooperation. Sincerely, Jul Hultman Planning & Code Enforcement Officer pc: Bob Greiling, Greenbrier Partners Eric Johnson, City Administrator Tree City U.S.A.
