Summary of Jack Delahunt's phone conversation on 5/8/00 with
Kris Danielson, Community Development Director
City of Oak Park Heights
RE: 14803 Upper 56 Street North
There are many City ordinances, which govern the legal rights of a given owner. The
one that seems to be the primary concern in our situation is: If some form of business is
being conducted in a residence, it must constitute Tess than 50% of the total usage. As
you know, at this time, no one is living there. For that matter no one has ever lived
there. In effect, the building is 100% business.
Kris stated that the City would contact the Stoltzmann's to find out exactly what the
situation is. If the Stoltzmann family cannot satisfy the ordinance then the City would
have to take further action.
A conceivable timetable might be 45 days to hear from the Stoltzmann's.
A good step forward it seems.
Jack Delahunt, President
Valley View West Association
Note: to Kris Danielson - thank you very much for your concern in this matter. Hopefully
it can be resolved with little difficulty.
