Ref: Proposed volleyball court and patio area
Dear Randy,
I have discussed your proposal with City staff, and additional information is
needed prior to the issuance of a Building Permit. I have enclosed a Building
Permit application form, a permit application checklist, and a Contractor's License
Application. In addition, please address the following issues:
1) A site plan is needed showing the location of the court, patio area, fence, and
lot drainage for storm water.
2) Building plans should indicate an elevation drawing showing the size and
location of the door and windows on the west wall.
3) Show location of the fence indicating size and type of material to be used.
4) Show location of the court indicating size and type of material to be used.
5) Show location of all court, patio, and wall lights that you may be installing,
and provide the manufacturer's specifications for these fixtures. Please note
that the City's Zoning Ordinance requires that all lights have full cut off of
the light source. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the
ordinance requirements.
Please note that outside noise is a concern of the City and that neither a PA system
nor piping outside music would be permitted at any time. The City highly
recommends that you have a neighborhood meeting to inform the public of your
proposal of the installation of the volleyball court and patio area.
Tree City U.S.A.
In addition, please note that the area may not be used after 11:00 p.m. and that all
exterior lighting is to be turned off at that same time.
Please have the above - requested information submitted to the City no later than
Tuesday, March 23. Upon receipt, City staff will review the information submitted
for compliance to the City's Zoning Ordinance and Design Plan Guidelines for the
facilities outside use.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
Thank you, ,r
