Structural stor mwater management measures shall meet the design standards of Appendix I of the MSCWMO WHIP, Please consider the following: proposed a. A forebay ro should be added to the pond for capturing and Settling out coarse sediment, before it can enter the ond. A vegetated filter strip leading to the forebay is trash, and debris p also recornnaen ded. The plans show that all stormwater will be piped directly to the proposed pond (Chapter 9.11, New Jersey Stormwater BMP Manual). b. The inlet p et and outlet for the and should be located on the opposite ends to maximize travel length "short circuiting" (Chapter 9.1 1. , New Jersey Stormwater and retention time (prevents BMP Manual) . No changes made to the plans in response to this comments. Comment was not a requirement. 2. Enhanced volume me runoff controls shall be designed to retain the first 1 /2 -inch of runoff for all impervious - h of runoff for areas with compacted soils. The intent of this perforwance standard is to areas plus 1/4 -inch f p promote infiltration/bioretention of stormwater for small rain events. The plans do not contain any infiltration or bioretention oretention p ractices such as infiltration basins, rain gardens, or engineered bioretention cells. The total area of compacted soils should be determined. Residential lawn areas should be considered to be compacted soils unless specific measures are outlined to reduce compaction during constructions Pond 1 retains sufficient volume to meet this requirement. 3. A Stormwater Pollution (SWPPP) Prevention Plan tion that meets National Pollutant Discharge Elimination u System requirements must be submitted. Much of the information that is required for a t em re swPFP is already contained within the plans for this project. SWPPP was submitted that meets requirements. The drainage calculations for this project use a post - development curve number of 58 (meadow) for lawn areas. A curve number of 61 should be used for lawns with good grass cover on B soils (USDA TR-55, Urban Hydrology for Small Watersheds). Drainage calculations reflected appropriate curve numbers. 5. A. professional wetland delineation and report, including information on any required wetland setbacks, must be submitted. Information required was submitted.
