Dear Manager /Administrator:
As a neighboring citizen of Oak Park Heights, I am becoming
extremely concerned about the operations of Buberl Recycling - 865150
alongside Highway 36. In the past several months I witnessed rr,oJ
numerous City of St. Paul dump trucks hauling in some very cux_
suspicious looking shiny black material. Also very noticeable
as I drive by this operation, is the acrid odor coming from the
pit. Even on days with a southeast wind, 1 can detect this odor
from my home, one and half miles distant. When an odor such
as this can penetrate a vehicle with closed windows, or travel
a great distance, something bad in going on within the confines
of that recycling business.
This begs the question: Does anyone from The City
monitor this operation on a frequent basis? Or, if this type of
operation is controlled only by the PCA or EPA, does anyone
from those governmental agencies make regular inspections?
I would appreciate your response to my serious inquiry.
Thank you kindly.
