Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 RE: Exit Corridor Dear Ms. Boyd On March 19, 2008, ( a site visit for the Nursing Home project and noticed that an exit corridor was closed off. In -further review of this issue I found that the exit door was moved from the original plan submitted and approved by the City for the construction of the North Wing in the Assisted Living Building. The corridor is identified as Corr E014, and is shown one the basement plan sheet 2.2.01. The corridor exit door is closed off by the placement of work pods in the Lakeview Homecare Hospice center. At this time I must direct you to relocate the work pods to permit a path way for exiting. In addition, a corridor must be constructed within 60 days of this letter. Please have design plans for this corridor submitted with a building permit application for review and a building permit consideration. Exiting and passageways are very important life safety issues. I appreciate your prompt attention to correcting this situation. Please contact me if you should have any questions regarding this building code violation.
