RE: St. Croix Bowl's request to install
volleyball court
Honarable Mayor and Council,
This is to inform you that I'm in favor of letting the St. Croix Bowl
install volleyballicourts and deck for the summer months.
As you all know, the St. Croix P.U.D. has cross easements for parking,
so the Bowl customers can park in the St. Croix Cleaners' lot and vis -a -vis
or K- Mart's lot or anywhere in the P.U.D.
Also I know that it's hard for the St. Croix Bowl in the summer. The
taxes are so high it's hard to make ends meet if he doesn't have some way
to make his business go in the summer.
I don't think there will be a shortage of parking places in the summer.
Most of the time his lot is empty and I have never seen our lot full yet.
We use the parking spaces mostly in the daytime and the Bowl would be needing
the parking at night.
So as owner of the building south of the Bowl, I would be in favor of
letting the Bowl put the volleyball courts and deck out in the lot for the
summer months, as long as he takes it out when the bowling starts.
