Gentlemen/Ladies:
Subject: Plumbing at Boutwells Landing, Oak Park Heights, Washington County, Minnesota,
Plan No. 010952
The attached addendum for the above- designated project was received on April 8, 2002. The addendum
has been reviewed and was found to conform to the Minnesota Plumbing Code with the following
provision(s):
1. All plumbing shall be installed in accordance with the Minnesota Plumbing Code (see Minnesota
Rules, part 4715.0320).
2. All portions of the water distribution system serving the pool and related facilities must be protected
against backflow. Water introduced into the pool, either directly or through the recirculation
system, must be supplied through an air gap or protected with a suitable backflow preventer as
specified in Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2000 through part 4715.2170.
3. The installation of reduced pressure zone backflow preventers is permitted only when periodic
testing is done by a trained backflow preventer tester acceptable to the administrative authority.
Testing intervals shall not exceed one year, and records must be kept. All devices must be tested
after initial installation to assure that debris from the piping installation has not interfered with the
functioning of the device. The devices shall be overhauled at least once every five years. The
installation of new backflow preventers must be at least 12 inches, but not more than 6 feet above
the finished floor or ground level.
4. Materials used for the plumbing system shall comply with the standards set in the Minnesota
Plumbing Code (see Minnesota Rules, part 4715.0420).

5. The water piping system shall be disinfected in accordance with Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2250.
6. The plumbing shall be tested in accordance with Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2820.
NOTE(S):
1. The scope of this project consists of the construction of the plumbing serving the pool mechanical
room and deck.
2. This facility is served by municipal sewer and water.
This letter should be attached to our previous report of plans dated January 10, 2001.
