' . CITY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1986 Present: Sommerfeldt (Mayor), Doerr, Carufel, Torgerson, O'Neal and Eckberg. Absent: Wilson. The meeting was opened by a Public Hearing on the Swager Bros. 9th Addition subdivision. A number of people were present and it appeared that the primary concern was the additional traffic created on Oakgreen. O'Neal moved to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Doerr, and all voted in favor. The meeting was then called to order by Mayor Sommerfeldt. O'Neal, seconded by Torgerson, moved that preliminary approval be given to Swager Bros. 9th Addition, subject to the engineering report, further study on the ponding area and preparation of a Development Agreement. Roll call vote was taken; 5 aye votes. Carried. A request was received from Hardware Hank for a temporary sign noting Sunday business hours until Christmas. Doerr, seconded by Carufel, moved to approve same. 5 aye votes. Carried. • Doerr, seconded by Carufel, moved to pay bill for tree removal in the amount of $9,346.50. 5 aye votes. Carried. The Council acknowledged receipt of a check in the amount of $11,490.00 from the Veteran's of Foreign Wars for police radios. Doerr, seconded by Torgerson, moved that the Clerk be instructed to write a letter of thanks to the V.F.W. 5 aye votes. Carried. Carufel, seconded by Torgerson, moved that the following licenses be renewed for the year 1987. Roll call vote was taken; 5 aye votes. Carried. Off -sale - Millroad Inn, Club Tara, MGM Liquor Warehouse, and Sutler's, Inc. On -sale and On -sale Sunday - Millroad Inn, Club Tara, V.F.W., St. Croix Bowl, Canelake's Steak & Seafood, and T. R. Torgerson, seconded by Doerr, moved adoption of the Animal Control Contract with Midwest Animal Services, Inc. for 1987, and authorized and directed the Mayor and Clerk to sign the same on behalf of the City. 5 aye votes.
