Subject: DISBURSEMENT OF 2011 USAI FUNDING
Washington County Emergency Management has advised Washington County Chiefs of
available Urban Area Securities Initiative (UASI) funding dedicated for use in improving law
enforcement interoperable communications. The $61,169.00 allocated to law enforc dent can
be used for mobile laptops and related mounting hardware. There is anticipated

At the March 2012 Washington County Chiefs' meeting, the following eight agencies expressed
interest in the funding: St. Paul Park, Newport, Bayport, Oak Park Heights, Forest Lake,
Oakdale, Stillwater and Cottage Grove. The funding of $Y,. , . ' divided by the eight agencies
totals $7,646.00 (rounded) per agency. This funding will be administered by Washington County
Emergency Management to reimburse the above agencies expenditures.

Please note that Washington County Sheriff and Woodbury Police Department have graciously
stepped aside for this funding. Discussions should be had regarding including Washington
County Sheriff and Woodbury in the anticipated 2012 funding.
