Re: Burger King Sign Installation — 5907 Neal Ave. N., Oak Park Heights, MN
Dear Mr. Dolphin,
A new sign face has been installed to the multi - tenant sign at the Oak Park Ponds retail area for Burger King. A
permit was not pulled for this work as required by City Ordinance. Additionally, the sign appears to be in
violation of city ordinance as the background is white. Illuminated white backgrounds are not permitted.
All new, altered and replaced signs require a permit from the City of Oak Park Heights and shall be installed by
a licensed contractor. Enclosed are applications for sign installation and contractor Iicensure. If the contractor
that did the work is currently licensed with Oak Park Heights, disregard the license application.
The permit application shall include two (2) sets of colored sign drawings that show the details of the sign
(size, color, illumination, etc.). If a local contractor license is needed, it shall include a Certificate of Insurance
that lists the City of Oak Park Heights as the Certificate Holder.
Submit the above requested to my attention, no later than August 1, 2012. You may mail or email your
application and supplemental materials.
Until such time your materials are received and a permit is issued for an approved design, the sign installed to
the multi- tenant sign is in violation of Oak Park Heights City Ordinance and shall be remedied accordingly if
compliance is not met.
Please contact me with any questions you may have. Your prompt attention is appreciated.
Sincerely,
