After the Stillwater location is open, the owners will tear down the Oak Park Heights location and rebuild it. A ceremonial groundbreaking for a new McDonald's that will be going up at near the St. Croix Valley Recrecreation Center in Stillwater will happen Thursday, July 19 at 1:30 p.m. Construction will start Monday. It usually takes about three months to complete, so the owners are shooting for mid - October as a grand opening. The restaurant will be owned by McDuvie, inc., run by owner /operator Jim Duval's family. His son, Patrick, is also an owner /operator; Tom is a supervisor and operations man; Andy is a manager; and daughter Christine runs the books. Once that McDonald's is complete, they will tear down the Oak Park Heights location and rebuild it. The Duvals also own and operate restaurants in Cottage Grove, Hudson, Inver Grove Heights, Maplewood, Mendota Heights, St. Paul, West St. Paul and Woodbury. Their offices are in White Bear Lake.
