This is a new plan and is not the plan I reviewed for this project in October 2011. 2. Plants chosen are hardy, attractive and should complement the building and site well. The landscape plan itself is attractive. The plant list was diversified, as recommended, and fewer maples are planned for the landscape. Most plant materials listed are relatively low maintenance. The boxwood hedges on the west side will require more pruning than other plants in the landscape. 3. Sizes of planting stock is appropriate and corresponds to code with several exceptions: the shade trees listed as B &B stock are smaller (listed at 2 in.) than required by city code. These trees must be 2.5 cal. in.. 4. Japanese tree lilacs - there are 12 listed in the plant schedule, but only 8 depicted on the landscape plan. In text on the right side of the parking lot there are 4 JTL listed, but none depicted. Are these 4 trees to be included on the plan? If not, the number of Jap. tree lilacs in the plant schedule should be reduced to 8. Please have the developer re- submit the plan showing the changes in #3 and #4. Once that has been done, and plant numbers are confirmed, I can calculate any change in the Tree Replacement Requirement (email report to OPH 5/14/12). Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this review. Please forward this report to the developer. Kathy Widin OPH Arborist 2
