Oak Park Heights, MN 55082 Re: Parking Pad (Accessory off - street parking) & Exterior Storage I Dear Mr. Swihart: Please be advised that the vehicle parked upon the grass in your front -yard and which appears to be in some state of repair is violating City Ordinances 401.15.6.14 Exterior Storage, and section 4.f of 401.15.F. Off - Street Parking and Loading, which regulate off street parking and exterior storage. These ordinance sections are enclosed for your reference. The full 1 language of Zoning Ordinance 401 can be viewed on the City's webpage at www.cityofoakparkheights.com. This letter serves as the City's request that you relocate the vehicle and that it be placed fully upon your driveway, upon an approved parking pad or to the interior of your garage if it is inoperable. If the vehicle is operable and is located outdoors, the registration for it shall remain valid. The vehicle shall be relocated so that it is compliant with City Ordinance no later than Monday, October 22, 2012. A site visit will be made after that date to verify compliance has been met. All materials and equipment except as provided below and in Sections 401.21 through 401.34 of this Ordinance shall be stored within a building or fully screened so as not to be visible from adjoining properties and the public right -of- way except for the following: a. Clothes line poles or wires. b. Not more than a total of two (2) recreational vehicles and /or pieces of equipment (not including racing cars). c. Construction and landscaping materials currently being used on the premises. d. On and off - street parking of currently registered and operable passenger vehicles and trucks not to exceed a gross weight of twelve thousand (12,000) pounds. e. Lawn furniture or furniture used and constructed explicitly for outdoor use. f. All firewood stored on residential premises shall be stored in the side yard or rear yard and stacked neatly. 401.15.F.4.f.7 Use of Required Area. Required accessory off - street parking spaces in any district shall not be utilized for open storage, sale or rental of goods, repair work, storage of inoperable vehicles, and /or storage of snow. •
