Dear Ms. Halberg,
This letter serves to follow up with communications shared between you and City Administrator, Eric
Johnson, with respect to the large equipment being stored upon the vacant parcel owned by Security
Bank & Trust Co.
First, thank you for your willingness to work with the City to have this equipment removed.
It is ultimately the responsibility of the landowner to maintain compliance with City Ordinances — in this
case the removal of outside stored items from the vacant property. To this end, please monitor the
situation and take whatever steps you may need to in order to ensure that the equipment is removed
from the site no later than Saturday, December 8, 2012.
The City will monitor the site for compliance. Naturally, the City is optimistic that by working with the
bank, compliance will be met by December 8, 2012; however if compliance has not been found after
December 8, 2012, the City shall use its resources to gain compliance, with any associated costs being
charged back to the property.
Please stay in touch as to the situation and again, thank you for your prompt response in working
toward having the equipment removed and compliance addressed.
