These trees, especially the large bur oak, have serious structural problems that pose a risk to vehicles and persons travelling on Oakgreen Ave.. These trees should be removed as soon as feasible. Oakgreen Ave. will probably need to be dosed for the real. In addition, care should be taken to not wound other oaks, in the process of removing the risk trees, to prevent insect transmission of the oak wilt fungus to fresh wounds. Any wounds made should be painted immediately with latex paint or varnish. The trees In question are described below. Each tree has also been painted with orange spray paint on street side. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this valuation. (south side of PGG entrance) pin oak 20 in. - poor condition, trunk decay, trunk and basal defects (north side of PGG entrance) bur oak 40 in. - very poor condition - decay, previous trunk failure on east side, vertical cracks in trunk Cathy 1fidin Arborist City of Oak Park Heights 1
