Concept 1. is within the current property and assuming the Car Quest Auto Parts property is also acquired. Concept 2 is assuming the other three residential properties to the northeast are also acquired so the entire block (south of the apartments) is developable. I had one of our Landscape Architects prepare these concepts. They are just 2- dimensional concept plans, but they are done to scale, so the proposed building square footages and parking spaces are accurate. Walser officials said, since the troubled aUtOmaker recently anriminced plans to eliminate about 2,614 of its roughly 6,246 U.S. dealerships by ttie end of 2010. "We really don't know at'. this point; everything is up to General Motors. We've submitted an application to them," said Doug Sprinthall, director of Walser's new car operations. I wish I could give you more information - we're kind of sitting at idle waiting to l'iear from them," Sprinthall said the purclmse agreement includes Cadillac and CIVIC franchise rights and the dealership itself, which is located at 1,2969 60th St, N. in Oak Park Heights, noting that GM recently announced plans to discontinue its Pontiac line. The Bloomington-based Walser Group currently operates 13 dealerships at nine locations, all of which are located within 20 rnHes of the Twin Cities, if the purchase goes through, Sprinthall said he would look to get Stillwater Cadillac GMC UP and running as soon as possible with a combination of local and corporate employees.
