When I received the letter you sent to notify the neighborhood of your plans there did not seem to be any reason for concern. There was nothing in the letter that caused me to feel the need to meet with you. As it turns out, it is what was not in the letter that causes me to write. There is no mention of outdoor speakers/ music and no mention of patio seating for patrons after the hours of play. I have not complained about the times the play continued after 10 p.m., with the exception of the night they were still playing at midnight. And then it took two phone calls before the game was ended. After the game was ended, people continued to occupy the patio until 2 a.m. and the later it got, the louder they got. Though this does not always go on until 2 a.m., it is troubling. The volume of music is so high at times it can be heard clearly inside my home even during these times when the windows are closed and the air conditioning is on. As with the socializing on the patio, the louder the music gets, the louder the patrons get. I would ask that you be mindful of your neighbors in this situation. I would certainly have come over to meet with you had your letter included all of the details of the changes that were going to be made. v Lynda Pauling cc: Police Chief Brian DeRosier Mayor David Beaudet Scott Richards, City Planner
