We are installing some cordless system phones that require placement of antennae throughout the building. There will be 4 such antennae. All will be located in the ceiling space above the suspended lift out tiles except the 1 in the lower level parking garage which will be attached to the ceiling joist. Each will require a single Category 6 voice (phone) cable run terminated in the server room, on the same patch panels as the other voice runs. The device end will have an additional 20 feet of cable coiled up with it to be used in case it needs to be moved in one direction or another. It will be terminated with jack insert & placed in a surface mount enclosure. The enclosure will not be secured to anything, once again for ease of movement. 1. Locate jack in ceiling space in room 131 outside of the doors to rooms 141 & 134. 2. Locate jack in ceiling space in hallway 106 outside of the door to room 121. 3. Locate jack in ceiling space in room 010 near doorway to hallway 018. 4. Locate jack in ceiling joist in parking garage 002 centered in that space. Please contact me with any questions. As part of the purchase of the Panasonic telephone system that we purchased we are getting two cordless telephones. One for each of the two telephone answerers which are administration and police. During the selection process for the telephone purchases both answerers said it would be beneficial to be able to pick up a phone and take it with them when the were doing their job in other parts of the building because currently their headsets allow them to answer the phone and hang it up, but not to transfer calls. While carrying a handset with them they would be able to transfer calls and do everything they could do at their seats. The one draw back is that we need to have 4 nodes installed to cover the whole building. Business telephone products has calculated where the 4 nodes need to be and have passed on the information to Randy to have our low voltage installers wire to where these nodes will go. This will give total coverage to the whole building upstairs and down for when they are moving around the building and carrying the cordless telephones. • Gary D.
