HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-01-10 PC Recommending ResolutionA RECOMMENDING RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MISSION CITY OF OAK P ARK HEIGHTS WASHINGTON COUNTY, ML%*;NESOTA A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FINDINGS OF FACT AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE REQUEST BY JACOB HOLDING OF 60' STREET LLC FOR A SIGN VARIANCE AT THE ROUTSON MOTORS AUTOMOBILE DEALERSHIP AT 14702 NORTH 60' STREET SHOULD BE APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS W REAS, the City of oak Park PIeights has received a request from Denny Decker representing Jacob Holdings of 60"' Street LLC for a variance to allow for more than one wall sign on the south elevation of the Routson Motors automobile dealership at 14702 North 60"" Street; and after having conducted a public hearing relative thereto, the Planning Commission of oak Park Heights makes the following findings of fact: follows, to wit: and The real property affected by said application is legally described as SEE ATTACHMENT A 2. The applicant has submitted an application and supporting documentation to the Community Development Department consisting of the following items: and SEE ATTACHNd[ENT B 3. The subject property is zoned B -2, General Business District which allows outdoor vehicle sales areas as a conditional use; and 4. The applicants have proposed four additional wall signs totaling 148.7 square feet on the south elevation of the Routson Motors dealership; and 5. ,Section 401.15 . G of the oak Park Heights Zoning ordinance allows one wall sign, not to exceed 150 square feet for this property under the B -2, General Business District regulations; and 6. City staff prepared a memorandum dated January 3, 2002 reviewing the request; and 7. The Januar 3, 2002 memorandum recommended that the application for a si variance to allow four wall si on the south elevation of the Routson Motors automobile dealership be approved with conditions and 8. The Plannin Commission held a public hearin at their Januar 10, 2002 meetin took comments from the applicants and public, closed the public hearin and made the followin recommendation: NOW, TBEREF ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR TIDE CYFY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS THAT THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS E FOLLOWING: A.
