Re: Volleyball Court Music and Operation
Dear Randy,
This letter serves as a follow request to my July 26, 2013 letter to you confirming the conversation
shared July 8, 2013, where you met with City Administrator Johnson and I at the Stillwater Bowl &
Lounge relative ongoing complaint that the volleyball court and music operation is disruptive to the
adjacent residential neighborhood.
Per our conversation, your plan was to continue close monitoring of the outdoor activity for noise
volume and to close the court area promptly at 10 p.m., bringing patrons inside.
You were also directed to remove and/or relocate the music speakers so that the sound emitted from
them was directed eastwardly and not toward the adjacent residential neighborhood. My July 26,
2013 letter directed that this be done by August 13, 2013.
As of today, the speakers remain in place and have not been removed or relocated. I am once again,
directing that, if upon receipt of this letter, you have not already done so, that you please remove
and/or relocate the speakers no later than Thursday, October 24, 2013.
A compliance check will be made after the 24th of October. If compliance is not found and complaints
are received, please be advised that you will likely be cited for nuisance violation.
Your prompt attention is appreciated. Please contact me immediately with any questions you may
have related to this request.
