Box 291 Stillwater, MN 55082 Re: 13951 60th St. N., Oak Park Heights (PIN 05.029.20.11.0005) Dear Dr.'s Browning&Wolff: Stillwater Glass vacated the above-referenced building in August of 2013. Final water read was taken in August and no use to the structure has been observed via utility reading through December 31,2013. I was recently by the building one evening and observed a meeting or conference of some type occurring at the front part of the building.Since my first observation I have also been made aware of other such meeting venues occurring. Chapter 300 of City Ordinance adopts the Minnesota State Building Code,which includes adoption of the International Codes for heating, mechanical,fuel gas and fire protection as well as the National Electric Code. These Codes and City Ordinance require permits and inspections for work performed in relation to remodeling, etc.of business spaces. Additionally,when how a building is used changes,there are potentially issues that need to be addressed in the way of accessibility,fire protection and such. The City has not been contacted for any work permits to this structure nor has it given occupancy approval for a changed business use. It is obvious that the use has changed and that work has been performed to the building. Please contact me to schedule an appointment to walk through 1395160`h St. N. and to discuss the scope of alterations made to the space and how the building is now being used. You are directed to schedule this appointment no later than Friday, March 7,2014. No permits to the business site shall be issued until such time a site meeting has been held and any requirements resulting from said meeting are satisfied.
