CITY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MONDAY, MAY 11 , 1981
Call to order by Mayor Mondor. Present : O 'Neal, Westphal , Seggelke,
Eckberg, Wilson, Bronken and Anderlik. Absent: Lang
Clerk read public hearing notice, presented affidavit of publication
and mailing_ list for hearing on application for a conditional use
permit for Fred' s Tire Company. Westphal moved to close hearing
• with O'Neal seconding. 4 aye votes . Carried.
Seggelke moved to adopt a resolution to approve the CUP based on
the following requirements . Individual entrance and exits to provide
[3 better circulation throughout, removal of existing canopy, installation
c { of perimeter curbing and grassy area in order to compliment and
augment the business community, submit details on colors and materials,
provision for noise control and proper site drainage with the approval
of the City Engineer. Seconded by O'Neal . Roll call vote taken with
4 aye votes. Carried.
Mondor moved to approve the bid for 10 ceiling lights at $2 .00 each.
Seconded by Westphal . 4 aye votes . Carried.
Continuance of hearing for Swager Bros . , 60th and Stagecoach
variance request_. O'Neal moved to close hearing with Seggelke
seconding. 4 aye votes . Carried.
Seggelke moved to deny the variance request, seconded by O 'Neal .
Roll call vote taken with 4 aye votes . Denied.
Clerk read public hearing notice, presented affidavit of publication
and mailing list for hearing on application for variance for
S. Kuehn. The proposal to build a garage as specified on the site plan
does not require a variance. Westphal moved to refund Mr. Kuehn $70 .00 .
Seconded by Seggelke. 4 aye votes . Carried.
Seggelke moved to adopt a resolution approving. the petition for
r) P � annexation as submitted by H. Kimmel for 35 acres of property located
`� in Baytown Township which is contiguous to the City of Oak Park
Heights . Seconded by O 'Neal . Roll call vote taken with four aye
votes cast. Adopted.
Mr. Joe Anderlik from the Engineer ' s office presented the Council
with data regarding the proposed water and sewer increases . Public
hearing date will be scheduled May 26th for some time in June or July.
Seggelke moved to adopt an amendment to resolution #8024 correcting
mechanical permit fees . Minimum permit to cost $30 .00 . One percent
sr of contract for the first $100, 000 .00 and one-half percent over and
above $100 , 000 .00 . Seconded by O'Neal. Roll call vote taken with four
aye votes . Adopted.
