What is the plan for the one to the N. Side of the building at the lower level?Yes, The whole front awning will be taken down (including the frame)and a new one replacing it with the awning shown in the mock up. The frame must be replaced as the old one won't accomodate the new awning. The side facing smaller awning will come down completely and not be replaced. I will be sharing your design with your contract City Planner at staff meeting tomorrow to learn whether or not text is permitted upon the canopy. Please clarify for me whether or not HOPE will be moving any of its business operation to the lower level tenant space under which the canopy is situated and that you are only replacing the canopy covering and not the actual hardware. There is no tenant in the lower space. We are actually looking at fixing it up and using it as space for HOPE meetings. This would then make it actual space used by HOPE. If the space were to be used by a renter, we made sure the awning flap with the letters could be replaced easily without taking the whole thing down so the new tenants could use the flap for their name. I expect to have an answer in response to the design for you tomorrow afternoon. Meanwhile, I have attached a permit application for your use. Thanks so much.. Let me know what you decide so we can tell the awning company what we need. I will get the permit filled out and back to you as soon as I can. Kathy Have a nice day O Julie A.
