Our records show:
• Laundromat at this location that went in January 1990 with permit#3143 and was charged
38.6 SAC (credited 42.3 but City took 3 credits city-wide).
• An office with 1080 sf feet of office space and 62 children @ 14 kids/SAC that was charged
4.88 SAC in February 1990 (credited 8 SAC but City took 3 credits city-wide).
• St. Croix Laundry& Cleaners paid 2 SAC in May 1977 for 2 washers @ 1 washers/SAC.
When a permit is issued that changes the use of the space, a determination would need to be
completed. If the use will be office and they are taking over the entire Laundromat space there would
be 38.6 + 2 = 40.6 potential SAC credits to offset the SAC charge.

If this should be passed along Karon please advise.
Back in 2008 we talked about SAC crediting for the above address. On November 26,2008 you let me know that the
building has 45 (rounded)SAC attached to it.
The upper half has been occupied by Hope Adoption offices and the lower level went vacant when the laundry tenant
moved his business to another location in town. His last occupancy at the address and final water read was April 1,
2007.
I have a contractor who has been attained by the Hope Adoption folks to clean up the lower level and ready it for leasing
potential. I am concerned about how to go about addressing SAC,when at this time, it sounds to be a speculative
remodel and the use will most likely be office. There is no real plan other than removing some interior non-load bearing
walls that were installed somewhere along the line and patching of holes, paint,carpet and such. Currently the space
does have two single stall restrooms, no kitchen or other waste water use type appliances.
Can you give me an idea about how to address the matter of SAC?

AGREEMENT AND SWORN STATEMENT
The work for which this permit is issued shall be performed
according to:(1)the conditions of this permit;(2)the
approval plans and specifications;(3)the applicable city
approvals,Ordinances,and Codes;and,(4)the State Building
Code.This permit is for only the work described,and does
not grant permission for additional or related work which
requires separate permits.This permit will expire and become
null and void if work is not started within 180 days,or if work
is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days any time
after work has commenced. The applicant is responsible for
assuring all required inspections are requested in conformance
with the Minnesota State Building Code.
