Re: 5826 Oldfield Ave. N., Oak Park Heights, MN 55082
Dear Mr.Vizenor:
I have received a few calls over the summer regarding work occurring at the above-referenced property
though when attempting to verify activity, have not seen any work occurring on site.Yesterday, I observed a
drop box in the driveway. I stopped by there today to inquire what was occurring and did not find anyone on
site; however I did observed that work has occurred and is process at the home and the grass to the rear yard
is excessively long and is in violation of City Nuisance Ordinance 1109 (enclosed).
By Ordinance, the City of Oak Park Heights has adopted the Minnesota State Building Code(current edition
2007)and by its reference the 2006 International Residential Code. These codes require that a permit be
issued for demolition/remodeling work and that inspections be conducted to verify compliance with the State
Building Code and the International Codes. Additionally, Minnesota State law requires that any contractor
engaging in the activity of construction services to residential properties be licensed by the State of
Minnesota.
A"Stop Work" notice has been posted;a copy is enclosed. No one shall be doing any work to the premises,
beyond yard maintenance, until such time I have been advised of the work scope and appropriate permits
have been issued for work to the property.
This letter also directs that you have the yard mowed and grass clippings removed no later than Friday,August
15,2014. A compliance check will be made after that time.
Your prompt attention is appreciated. Please contact me immediately with any questions you may have
and/or to discuss the project.
Sincerely ,
JuliA ultman,C.B.O.
