Rick,
Just a quick note to recap this morning's visit with you, Jamie Iverson of J.G. Hause Construction and myself with respect to
the roof work concerns you had related to water intrusion and the curling shingles.
Since our initial visit you have had larger, leafless gutters installed and you felt that they were addressing the concerns you
initially had. We discussed the merits of trimming the shingles that have curled downward at the gutter and potential
problems with that. We also discussed the water issued at the garage/house wall connection and the ways to alleviate
water rush at this area,including the placement of extension to the existing drain spout from your upper level gutter to your
garage roof top and placement of a down spout to the existing upper roof level gutter to the back side of the house. You
did note that since J.G. Hause was out to help you with that concern, and caulked the area that you haven't experience
any new water intrusion to the space.
Ultimately your decision was to leave things as they are for the time being, leaving the caulking in place and not disturbing
the wall area and/or caulking to install the kick out flashing at the garage rear, by the service door and to also leave the
shingles as they are.
At such time we experience heavy rain again,you will assess the situation and if need be contact J.G. Hause.
