I have the following observations/comments re: landscaping/screening for this site: 1. In driving past the site, it looks as if some fast-growing deciduous trees were removed (Xcel line clearance?) recently, but most evergreens along the Stagecoach Trail frontage are still there. 2. For screening along Stagecoach Trail, several dead spruce should be removed and replaced with 8-10 ft tall spruce. There is also an opening where additional spruce should be planted to complete the screen. 3. Screening of property from the city site to the N is incomplete due to the fact that many of the spruce along that edge have lost most of their lower branches probably due to shading from nearby deciduous trees to the north and also drought stress and attack by the fungal diseases, Rhizosphaera needlecast and Cytospora canker. 4. A landscape plan should be developed to provide adequate screening from both Stagecoach Trail and properties to the north Please forward my comments to the developer.
