Stillwater Area High School Request for Ropes Course CLIP Anacndmcnt Dear Mr. Vierling: Tlus letter will confirm our discussions of last week and last evening regarding the above - referenced matter. The School District has requested a postponement of hear until the May 9, 2000 Council meeting. The School District's reasons for this request relate to the fact that numerous issues were raised before the Planning Commission requiring extensive investigation and detailed response on the part of the School District, The School Distiict requires a dditional time for investigation and preparation prior to hearing. Ln addition, the School District wishes to be represented by counsel at the Council meeting. I have a conflict which requires my presence elsewhere this evening. The School District has also been in contact with the City Administrator, Thomas Melena, and Mayor Dave Schaaf, and has conveyed its request for postponement to both Mayor Schaaf and Mr, Melena. The School District considers this issue to be a serious matter, and therefore, deems the requested postponement to be essential for the reasons stated above. On behalf of the School District, we have every confidence that the. School District will be afforded the opportunity to present its position at hearing on May 9, 2000. we wish to thank you, the City Council, Mayor Schaaf, and Mx. Melena in advance for your consideration and ant icipat e d cooperation in this inatter. Very truly yo Lirs, Patiick J.
