Re: Valle Branch Watershed District Permit No. 2002-01
Dear Mr. Borash:
As the Cit Attorne for the Cit of Oak Park Hei this office has received a
cop of y our Permit No. 2002-01 issued to the Stillwater Hi School relative to the stadium
improvements. The provisions of the permit as issued to the hi school (Independent School
District No. 834) provides in items I and 2 that draina easements are to be issued to the Cit of
Oak Park Hei coverin land adjacent to the pondin area, includin all ditches and
storm sewers and that the Cit of Oak Park Hei shall be responsible for maintenance of the
draina easements.
Man of the easements which y ou are referencin on the site of the Stillwater Hi
School propert are within the fields, stadium, track and related facilities of the hi school. As the
hi school is, of course, a g overnment entit g overned b Independent School District No. 834, it
w ill be their staff and maintenance crews that will be maintainin the fields and related facilities and
the internal ditchin on the hi school site before it enters into the Cit s relative to
stormwater control which has alread been issued and permitted throu Valle Branch Watershed
District in past y ears. The Cit of Oak Park Hei does not have the personnel nor the interest in
maintainin internal ditchin and flowa areas within the pla fields of the hi school, but
those matters will be left to the hi school for purposes of compliance. The Cit will, of course,
follow up from time to time relative to compliance issues but maintenance will be performed b
ISD 834 personnel, not Cit of Oak Park Hei personnel.

You may wish to reissue your permit relative to those matters to correctly note the
maintenance responsibilities of ISD 834.
