CITY OF OAK PARK HEIGHTS Memo TO:City Council Members FROM: Eric Johnson " ity At .t it WEEKLY.NOTES...October 20th,2006 Please see UPDATED City Meetings List through December 2.06 Various Development/Zoning Items: Enclosed you will find a memo from City Intern Nicole Morris outlining the condition of the 148,-Rage at two .. ` . .. $ . This information is vital documentation as these flags may not be replaced under the recently updated sign code. On a related matter, on Monday, I met with Bill Rambo and Mike Ellis of the Hecker Group to discuss these flags and the other signage issues outstanding. As always we have asked for their continued compliance. You may recall that the City denied the issuance of a building permit to Clear Channel Advertising. Clear Channel may appeal this rejection to the City's Board of Appeals (the City Council). As such the City will have a hearing on this matter at tits Nov 14 meeting. More information will be provided in that particular council packet. Enclosed is just a reminder as sent to Marvin Liszt, Clear Channel's attorney. STH 36 Reconstruction J St. Croix River Crossing. Jack Doerr had requested how MnDOT is utilizing the entire $4 Million dollars as allocated by the 2005 Transportation Bill. Nick Thompson did provide the attached breakdown. In you mailbox, I have provided a copy of the documents as filed by the City attorney per the Municipal Consent issue. There is nothing pressing on this matter so just pick these up when you have a moment or prior to next weeks council meeting. Also in your mailbox I have placed a copy of the summary feedback findings of the STAKEHOLDERS process. AUTUMN HILLS PARK SHELTER&Other Park Issues The City did advise DNR Construction that we are not at "this immediate time" taking any action relative to non-completion of the Shelter as we have moved beyond the Oct 15th timeline. Naturally, we expect continued progress. Please see the enclosed letter to DNR owner Dan Neujar. The Park Commission has decided that it wishes to implement a brief survey to those areas surrounding Swager Park. The intention of the survey is to gain neighborhood input to better identify potential investment in park improvements. Enclosed is a draft of that survey tool. The Park Commission will likely approve the final version at it next meeting in Nov and will survey thereafter. Of course it would not be statistically significant or scientific, but a reasonable tool to gain some new insight.
