Brian,
Thank you again for sending over the drawing for the proposed improvements to the Baytown Substation at Nova Scotia
Ave. N.
A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) was granted for the construction of the electrical substation in 1990. I have attached a
copy of this for your reference.
Alteration to the site and/or its use often result in necessitating an amendment to the CUP. CUP Amendment does require a
public hearing before the Planning Commission. A schedule of application submittal deadlines in relation to public hearing
dates can be found in the development application (attached).
A site review of your request/development application for conditional use permit amendment is required. Site review
meetings are held on Wednesdays, typically at 10:30 a.m. at the City Hall. Please let me know what Wednesday, you are
available to visit for a project review with City staff.
Please review the attached information and let me know if you have any questions. I will do what I can to assist.
Thank you,

Julie,
Thank you for spending a few minutes with me discussing the Proposed expansion of the Baytown Substation
located on Nova Scotia Ave.
Attached is our preliminary plan showing then proposed substation Improvements. The proposed fence is
depicte4d as the blue line that wraps around the south, east and north sides of the existing substation. Xcel
will replicate the wood fence that is in place and replace any plant materials we need to remove for the
expansion of the substation.
