outfall schedule 2-27-15.pdf; 1-8-15 outfall work plan.pdf
Eric,
Attached is a tree inventory the MCES ST.Croix WWTP outfall project. A drawing is being developed with the tag
numbers of the trees to be removed, which I will forward later this afternoon.
The contractor will be meeting onsite with MCES on Monday to mark the trees to be removed. If the City Arborist is
available to visit the site on Monday or Tuesday, after the trees to be removed are marked(see email below), I will
ensure an MCES inspector is available to ensure access into the plant. MCES will maintain detailed photo documentation
of the tree removal.
The project work at the St.Croix WWTP,consists of the two following work scopes:
• Removal and replacement of a deteriorated section of outfall pipe
• Aeration tank air supply pipe modifications(demolition and abandonment of a leaking underground air supply
pipe, and installation of an air supply pipe above ground). The above ground piping has been installed, and
construction photos are attached. I will have a wider view photograph of the work taken and forwarded on
Monday.
MCES is working to have a check cut for the Conditional Use Permit application, which will be accompanied by a
narrative summary of the work and the contract documents.
In addition to the attached aeration pipe construction photos and the outfall tree survey, the outfall construction
schedule is attached.

Dustin and Rick,
Jeff with Lametti and Randy with Shank Constructors will be onsite Monday morning at 9 am to collaborate with MCES
regarding tree removal.
Per the contract documents, they may only remove trees approved by MCES. Please work with the contractor to
determine and mark which trees must be removed to facilitate construction, and which ones may remain.
I have attached a tree survey with GPS coordinates. Please keep detailed before and after photographic documentation
of the tree removal. TKDA is working on a pdf depicting the tag numbers of proposed trees to be removed, which I will
forward on later this afternoon.
Dustin please swing by Metro at 8 am with the GPS unit, so Rick may ride with you to the St. Croix WWTP. I need you to
keep your schedule flexible on Monday and Tuesday in case the arborist from Oak Park Heights is able to perform a site
visit.
